To ensure employees are treated equally and their differences valued and respected in the workplace every agency of the NT Government should include an Equal Employment Opportunity Management Program within their corporate, strategic or other agency planning process. Equal Employment Opportunity Management Programs should suit the workplace and ensure people are employed, trained and promoted fairly, on merit, without discrimination and harassment and to reflect the diverse nature of the NT community.
All agencies must report annually on programs and initiatives in their agency designed to ensure employees have equal employment opportunities and on the outcomes that are achieved.
