Commissioner

Graham Symons commenced as Commissioner for Public Employment for the Northern Territory in September 2011.

Graham joined the Northern Territory Public Service in 1984 and has held a number of senior positions including: Chief Executive Department of Business & Employment; Chief Executive Department of Corporate & Information Services; Chief Executive Territory Housing; Deputy Chief Executive (Policy) Department of the Chief Minister; Deputy Under-Treasurer (Finance & Corporate); and Deputy Chief Executive Department of Health & Community Services.

Prior to joining the NTPS Graham worked in the South Australian Public service from 1972 to 1983.

Graham has tertiary qualifications in Science, Social Administration and Business.

He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and President of the NT Division of the Institute of Public Administration of Australia.
