The Promotion Appeals & Grievance Reviews area (PA&GR) handles NTPS employee concerns about:
- treatment in the workplace;
- termination of employment on probation;
- selection processes
- conditions of service;
- provisional promotions;
- disciplinary actions; and
- inability actions.
Appeal and grievance review processes provide employees with the opportunity to seek independent consideration of actions or decisions by agencies. PA&GR independently and impartially reviews practices and decisions, providing feedback and recommendations for future action to employees and agencies.

Objectives
- to handle all appeals and reviews in accordance with principles of merit, equity and natural justice;
- to provide impartial advice and assistance on all enquiries;
- to address all appeals and reviews in a timely and effective manner;
- to increase awareness and acceptance of the appeals and review process; and
- to contribute to improved recruitment selection and human resource management throughout the NTPS.
