Executive Coaching

Executive Coaching provides solution focussed, results oriented outcomes for executives, policy makers and professionals through a systematic process whereby personal and professional development is enhanced.  Please refer to our Executive Coaching Brochure for more information.

There are two delivery models for executive coaching:

  • Structured Executive Coaching (Application Form).
This is a strategic developmental opportunity for executives to plan for holistic personal and professional growth. Coaching sessions will be phased over a 12 month period.
  • Situational Executive Coaching (Application Form).
Occasionally, a situation or issue may arise whereby an executive requires immediate support.  The situational model is designed to provide an additional perspective and insight to alternative approaches and solutions over a shorter time frame.

OCPE have established a panel contract for the provision of executive coaching services and recommends that agencies contact all service providers when seeking a suitable match to coach their executives.

  • Contract No:  D06-0605
  • Description: All Centres – Panel Contract for the Provision of Executive Coaching Services for NTPS Executives for a Period of 24 Months

Contact details for the Service Providers and the Agency HR Contacts are attached.

The Executive Coaching service providers undertook a showcase for senior NTPS staff in February 2007, copies of their presentations are attached.

Dr Peter Shergold

“I’m not an expert on all these aspects of corporate leadership. That’s why I welcome help. It’s ill-informed nonsense to suggest that a Secretary is appointed as a full-formed model of perfection who knows what to do in any eventuality.  In a changing environment, in which the direction and organisation of government activities continues to develop, leadership is an on-going learning process.

That’s why a number of Secretaries, myself included, benefit from executive coaches. We, like our private sector counterparts, know the value of talking through complex issues of organisational structure and culture with someone who can bring to our consideration the widest range of practical and academic expertise in a confidential setting”.
