NTPS Executive Leadership Development Strategy

This Strategy is a sector wide approach to building executive leadership skills from within the NTPS.  The aim of the strategy is to build a pool of NTPS employees who are suitably qualified, experienced and skilled leaders and managers to take up the mantle of executive and leadership roles in the future. 

 
The new talent pool is aimed at 3 distinct target groups with tailored programs and activities attached to complement them:-

  • Senior Executives (ECO3 and above)
  • Executives (EO1/ECO1 – ECO2 and equivalent designations)
  • Executive Feeder Group (AO7/AO8 and equivalent designations)

In the development of this strategy OCPE recognises the in roads that agencies have made with their own tailored leadership development programs.  Agency programs are complementary to the NTPS Reform and Revitalisation package which includes the Executive Leadership Development Strategy in the Northern Territory Public Sector 2008 – 2012.
